Portlandia).
I am working on a protocol for my soon to be pre-teen son (he turns 12
in 15 days...eeek!).
He was diagnosed years ago with ADD. We have him on Aderall (sp???),
or as my son calls it "the blue pill". It does help him to a certain
degree, but I am starting to see signs that there is a change. He is
spacing out more. Moody a heck of a lot more (this may be caused by
those pre-teen "mom sucks" hormones). And just having a hard time
staying focused and in his present body and mind.
I have done my internet searching and looked through the Modern
Essentials book.
What I came up with was this:
Main oils to use are: Lavender, Vetiver, and Frankincense. I can use
these topically and aromatically. What about internally???
Other oils I have found that may help are: peppermint , basil, and
rosemary. These can help with concentration issues. Topically and
internally???
And also, Bergamot, Balance and Roman Chamomile. Topically with these.
I will also try the Aromatouch technique on him.
I think the first 3 are strong choices based on what I have found. I
can use them topically, and aromatically. I read I should put the
vetiver in a pendent for him to wear and smell through out the day.
Since my funds are limited right now (unemployed and trying to build
my consulting biz), I have to select the best options of oils.In
addition, since he lives between my house and his dads house, I want
to keep it pretty simple so his Dad can keep up on the treatment as
well.
Anyone have some suggestions on this? Has anyone treated their littles
for ADD???
thanks
Tami
