[Everything doTERRA] Re: Hypertension/High Blood Pressure and Wintrgreen

Maybe these resources can help you decide what works best for you:

I assume that you're monitoring your BP regularly at home - maybe you should test to see if aromatic or topical exposure to a mint oil (not just wintergreen) has any effect on your system?  Measure before, expose yourself, measure after.  Do this a couple days in a row to see if there's a trend, and then switch to the next oil for a couple days... your own study group of one!

Recently I was told that if I have high blood pressure I shouldn't use Wintergreen as it tends to boost blood pressure.  Is this correct?  If so, are there other EO's that have the same effect?  I'm attempting to manage my blood pressure with EO's but I have my annual physical in a few weeks and really don't want to go back on any HTN meds.  I want to manage my health as naturally as possible but I want to do it wisely.

Can anyone offer any insight on this?  Thank you.
