That makes sense, and kudos to your MD for being open for being open to listening to you!  I think Pat gives tremendous advice, and she sure nailed me--I am an admitted over-user!!  That being said, I am not stupid about it and only over use by a drop or so. I also want to add, given the unending numerous health issues I have to deal with, I feel WONDERFUL INSTANTLY when taking oils internally, and more importantly NEAT. (As in not mixed in something, or even in a veggie cap.)  One drop of an oil under one's tongue=miracle abilities!

It could be that your 42 year old company does not have pure oils. I have seen nothing but success with using doTerra oils aromatically, topically and Internally with no ill effects ever. 

I do however agree with your remark about using caution with the oils. Not that they will hurt you but in our zest for wellness we sometimes go overboard with the amount of oils we use without giving our bodies a chance to decide which one it needs.
