About 20+ years ago my husband came down with Mono that turned into CFS. We have tried many, many (did I mention many?) pills, homeopathics, etc. through the years to the point that he has refused to try anything more. He is extremely ill and still goes to work. He could win an academy award because few people know he is sick. He is a Middle School Shop Teacher. He has stuck it out all these years but as he is now in his 60's the illness is compounding with his age. He comes home from work and colapses into bed. All of his energy is spent trying to go to school again tomorrow. At this time, I need to prove to him that doTerra can at least help his symptoms and then he will be open to start the healing process; detox, Candida, LLV, Prime, Zendocrine, diet, etc. Right now, he is so depressed and can not see that there could be any help out there.
We do have an appointment next week with one of the top national specialists and researcher in CFS and Fibro. However, she does believe in chemicals along with the diet.
I would love to help him start to follow the long term healing procedure that have been suggested here. But in the first place, I need to give him some hope. So for now I am looking to others with CFS who have found help for these problems:
Insomnia: This the biggest problem of most CFS sufferers. He is on 3 sleeping pills and he still can't get more that 4-5 hours of sleep every night. I have tried applying oils, diffusing, etc. This month I am going to use the following arsenal: Lavender, Serenity, Vetiver, Roman Chamomile, Marjoram, Clary Sage, Ylang Ylang, Cypress, Sandalwood. I will try these oils as suggested by this forum and other doTerra sites. My Pinterest is over flowing with insomnia ideas. I am asking in particular for those with CFS who have found help.
Headaches 24/7: I have tried almost all the migraine EOs and applications. For 20+ years he has taken Excedrin Migraine, Advil, Frova, and injections. Again, anyone with CFS who have had success?
Full body aches: I am going to try the cancer pain reliever blend. Maybe it would help with both the headaches and body/muscle aches.
A year ago, I tried the Aroma Touch therapy for a couple of weeks with no success. Is there a suggestion of oils that would specifically help CFS?
Thanks! I love this forum and learn daily from the ideas of others.
