[Everything doTERRA] Re: How is doTERRA Clary Sage oil extracted? Looking for alternative to fish oil supplement......

The Modern Essentials book statest that the Clary Sage is steam distilled from flowing plant - maybe that means the flowering plant? In that case it can't be from the seed. If it means the leafy part of the plant, then again you're good. Not an oils solution, but I make an "omega sprinkles" mix with flax (ground), hemp seed hearts and chia seeds. I add this to everything I bake and even some cooking recipes where I think it will work. Not the very best source of omega, but another way to get omegas into the diet of the whole family. doTERRA also has a VEGAN omega supplement. For the kids perhaps you could open the capsules and add to juice or smoothies?

My family does not have a diet high in Omega3 and I give my children fish oil supplements and have used the IQ Mega oil. I have done a bit of research and it seems as if no matter how pure fish oil is, it will always have metals in them. I guess I could give cilantro daily to help leech out the metals...but why put them in the body knowingly anyway?
I have read that Clary Sage oil has a good amount of Omega3. But everywhere that I can find, the oil for that comes from the seed itself. I thought I had read somewhere that doTERRA gets their Clary Sage EO from the leaves of the plant? Can anyone help me on this topic?

Thank you,
