[Everything doTERRA] Lemongrass Oil Side Effects

I started taking 4 drops of Lemongrass oil in the vegetable capsules about a week ago.  I take the dosage at night before bedtime and initially did not notice any discomfort.  After the second night, I started to notice a tightening sensation in my calves.  My legs felt tight and felt swollen, but I continued the regime thinking that it could not be related to the Lemongrass oil.  Each night about thirty minutes after taking the Lemongrass the discomfort and swelling began. Two nights ago, the pain was so bad I resorted to ibuprofen.  Last night I reduced the dosage to two drops, but I experienced the same effects 30 minutes after taking Lemongrass oil.  This morning the pain had moved up to my sciatic nerve, and I am very aware of the discomfort.  My legs are still aching and almost an internal burning sensation.  Needless to say, I will not be taking the Lemongrass oil tonight, but has anyone else experienced this type of reaction.

I have remained so persistent because a friend lowered her cholesterol by over 50 points in 5 weeks after starting Lemongrass oil.  I am in the medical field and eat a healthy diet, but like everyone else, I am always looking for ways to improve my wellbeing naturally. I would appreciate any insight and information that is available.

Thank you,
PW
