I'm in the process of potty training my 2 year old and the other day, she had an accident on our first step going uptairs. I immediately suctioned the urine out with my Bissell handheld and even treated it with a little carpet cleaner that was left in the container. Yesterday, I set my hand in the spot and smelled my hand, it still smelled like urine slightly. I thought, ok I can just Bissell again but honestly, I'd much rather avoid the chemicals in the carpet cleaning formula. Which made me start thinking maybe there was an oil or two I can mix up and spray the area with. In the past when I've freshened my carpets, I've mixed Lavender with baking soda, sprinkled it on, let sit for 30 minutes then vacuumed it up. But because this is an actual odor I'm fighting in the carpet fibers, I'm guessing I need a wet concoction. I had read earlier that someone used Terrazyme capsules diluted in water, to get out dog urine. Unfortunately, I don't have Terrazyme. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!!!!
