[Everything doTERRA] Re: High Cortisol?

I don't know about specific oils, but the TrimShakes have ashwagandha root which the labels says is in the product to manage cortisol levels and reduce stress-related eating; I wonder if it would help balance out chronically high levels as well.

Gotta question for all you oil users....What would you recommend for controlling high cortisol? After lots of research on doTERRA and other sites this is what I found...Lavender, Valerian, Frankincense and Blue Tansy. So I recommended LLV, lavender, franki and Balance/Deep Blue (for the Blue Tansy). What about the Valerian? Is there a product that could replace that one? Is there anything you feel I'm missing? I also recommended S&S and the Zendocrine cleanse with GX and PB. This person is not over weight and the dr's really don't know what's wrong. They are just "guessing" it's high cortisol due to her sympotms.

This is what she sent me in her email..."I am taking amoxicillan twice a day (for the acne caused by the cortisol) and vitamin C and D, as well as 2 nose sprays and some stomach meds for acid reflux.... even though I don't have acid reflux (bc they hope that's why I keep coughing yuckies up every day)
It's all related to my cortisol being too high and wreaking havic on my body (but that's only my opinion, the dr doesn't know why I have a cough really)... well I got to reading up about the long term affects of the cortisol, it brain damage pretty much, which is part of the reason I can't think clearly half the time and have no memory. Some of the the affects can be permanent if it goes on too long, some are not. This has been going on since '08... so I'm thinking if I could lower the cortisol the rest will resolve too."

Any advice would be very appreciated!
