I also have a large area on my hand that has a darker 'tan' than the rest of me. I noticed it about a month ago and all I can figure is its were most oils collect after massaging all day and the sun hits that area the most when driving. It doesn't feel irritated but I have what looks like a 5 o'clock shadow from my thumb to pointer finger. Either way the rest of my tan is beginning to catch up so I'm not to worried about it..
