I haven't read the post lately, i know for me though I wasn't trying to be brutal to her.  I breastfed and ate right, but being older the weight did not come off so easy.  For me though my concern was that instead of worrying about weight, she should enjoy this time with her little one.  It's not about the "perfect" body.....  I hope that I did not come across "brutal".  It certainly was not my intention.  I don't always use the appropriate wording and I can see where things can get read into.  I wish this new Mum and her Hubby all the happiness and peace a new baby brings.
