Hi Pari -
The article that was brought to your attention is a direct copy of an article posted in Kiswel Homes, Oct. 2011 Here is a link:

This is the second time the study has been completed. The first one was in 2009: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1352231009006785
The viral article is based on a peer-reviewed article posted in 2011 in Environmental Engineering Science. Here is the link: http://online.liebertpub.com/doi/abs/10.1089/ees.2011.0004
I have to ask: who paid for the study? Why pay for the study....twice? Given that it's against essential oils, I would "assume" it was funded by a pharmaceutical company.
When you read the abstract, the study was performed in a "controlled-environment chamber under different test conditions." A chamber? Even though I was not part of the study, a chamber to me emits images of an vacuumed locked room. Of course the amounts of SOA (which is a fancy term for air pollutant) are going to be extreme. There isn't a spa in the world that does have some sort of venelation system - water vapor from baths, steam, HVAC's and open doors/windows just to name a few.
Nothing is definitive in the article. "However, the use of essential oil is likely to release various volatile organic compounds (VOC's) into indoor air." Likely is conjecture.
I am not a member of this library, so I do not have full access to the article. However, from what I have seen people are jumping on the bandwagon.
Pari, I am truly baffled by most people. They would rather take synthetic pills than inhale something that was provided by nature. They would rather blindly follow than do their own research as to what is more beneficial for them and their families.
I hope this helps.

THIS!!!! Just explain (or just ignore him, some ppl are beyond
