Both my mom and I had our cycles shortly after using Serenity. It was unexpected for me because I had given birth 3.5 months earlier and was exclusively breastfeeding. It was unexpected for her because she was going through menopause.
Looking back, I think Serenity was chasing out "bad guys" in our system. Like another form of detoxing? For me, I imagine there was some damage done by 4 years of birth control. Before my pregnancy, my periods were 8-11 days long, very heavy. Even though Serenity brought on the periods again, I persisted in using that oil and my periods lightened up and were only 6-7 days long before I got pregnant again.
I would sum it up that my body needed to let go of some kind of physical/emotional issue before it could be serene.
Blessings,
Leah
