Re: [Everything doTERRA] Re: Getting off meds...a caution

Oh...and paranoia.  I kept having thoughts of terrible things happening to my mother, my grandchildren, etc.  It was just really weird.

Regarding emotional/mental stuff, be sure to listen to/watch Laura Jacobs' "My chemistry made me do it"...it was a great teaching evening for me and my teenage son.

I was on 2mg Clonazepam.   I took the last dose Friday night, I think.  It hadn't seemed to be doing anything, so I just dropped it.  Thought the LLV and oils were taking over.  The next few nights were pretty much sleepless, tho' still calm and relaxed with oils, etc.  Then Tuesday, after NO sleep, I was pretty stressed and agitated.  Near bedtime, my tongue started to feel like the tip was on fire.  Oh, I had been feeling the inside of my mouth was a bit stressed all day, with little ulcerations beginning, but not bad.  Thought this was in connection with what I thought was a cold/throat/upper respiratory infection coming on.

Started googling withdrawal from clonazepam, only to find out it can be quite serious and dangerous and should be taken verrrrry slowly.  Ginny gave me wise counsel.   You can find all of this under the Burning tongue post from Tuesday evening and yesterday.

After all was said and done, I decided it was best to start back on 3/4 dose and taper off slowly, and I'm feeling much, much better today.    Like I said last night, if I knew the symptoms were only going to last a few more days, I thought I could cope, but all that I read told me it could get much worse and take a really long time to get 'clean' from it.    That's why I decided to turn around and take the safer route.
