Okay, after the very scary and weird 3 days I just spent, just thought I would offer a caution to anyone wanting to get rx junk out of their systems...
GO SLOWLY!
I was on a low dose of what doctors told me was a very mild medication, Clonazepam. For 20 years. I foolishly tried going cold turkey last weekend. The other day I started having very weird symptoms, and it started to get scary. Through the wonderful advice of caring people on this forum along with some web research, I realized the danger of going off too quickly. So last night I went back on 3/4 dose and slept like a baby and feel much better today.
I am going to get this out of my system, but I will do it very slowly, just trying to taper down every 2 weeks or so. It will be great to be able to be totally rx free, but don't try to do it overnight. That could be dangerous.
Not worth risking dangerous withdrawal symptoms going too fast.
Thank you again to the kind people here who are willing to share their own experiences and do research to help others!
