[Everything doTERRA] Re: Why Cant You Ingest All of doTERRA's Essential Oils

Hi,

That was one of many questions that I had from friends and family, so
I called doTerra. They told me to email service doterra and put
attention on Haylee Caplin to ask my questions

The answer that I received was this:

The essential oils are very safe and can be taken internally. Some of
the oils don't have any benefit from taking internally and others are
not safe to take internally. When we include the supplement facts
information and internal use instructions on our essential oil labels
it indicates both the safety of using the oil or oil blend internally
AND a belief that there are benefits from using the oil internally.
Most of the oils that are marked for external use only would not pose
any harm, they simply would not provide any benefit and they don't
taste very good either. It is not a matter of purity, simply a matter
of not having any practical internal use. Using the oils as directed
on the labels with moderation will help you avoid any undesirable side
effects from the oils. We err on the side of safety and conservatism
on our labels and reference materials. If an oil that is not
recommended for internal use is consumed in a great amount we
recommend turning to the resources available to you such as local
poison control, consulting your physician, etc. Again, we are
confident in the safety of using the essential oils. We always
recommend using a moderate amount.

Hope this helps!
