moved into a home with brown recluse spiders. They are terribly hard
to get rid of! We were having exterminators come, but that didn't
seem to help. I have Catchmaster glue boards out all over the place.
I order them from an on-line pest control business for a lot less than
you'd pay at a retail store and I put them everywhere. I've also used
diatomaceous earth that had some kind of pesticide in it. I can't
remember the exact name, but can look it up. I put that in the light
switches & electrical outlets and any place I see to shoot it into. I
think that did just as well or better than anything else. It's nearly
impossible to get to where they hide, so despite my best efforts we
still have them. I am not giving up though as it takes persistence.
I am so thankful though for the oils because I feel safer knowing that
if someone were to get bitten, I'd have some hope of treating it.
I never thought to mix terrashield, purify & oregano to spray with.
There is a spray that I started to purchase that is oil based and a
friend I know used it in her house with brown recluse. She said it
worked well, and after about 5 years she thought she was rid of them.
I can look that up and get the name to you if you are interested.
Would a mixture of Doterra oils to spray do anything to hardwood
floors or tile? I would love to try them, but if they were to damage
the flooring I'd be in big trouble.
