[Everything doTERRA] lavender as sunscreen

Hi,

I recently was at a lecture where Justin Harison said you can use
lavender as a sunscreen. One of my uplines agreed and said she has
done that and it works!

I am wondering if there is any reference site that explains how this
works or verifying that it does work. I actually had someone
chanllenge me on this and said there is no way this can work. Since
it is not noted under lavender in our modern essentials book, does
anyone know of another resource or explanation as to how this works?
