Pat says it works locally by just rubbing it on, so I'd follow her advice on this one, Sharon.  I don't have the newer edition of ME yet, so I don't have any information on this oil. Look in the other sites too, or the blog.

I can't blame you, it's not great tasting at all. But I can swallow any mixture so far, even this one. I find it helpful to eat an orange after anything horrible, btw...they're strong enough to get rid of unpleasant after tastes.

You can swig it down with water for internal application or rub it on the liver area, both would work. The carrier oil would be fine to help the spreading of the oil, but it is not a hot oil.
