I'm curious what you all think about someone who most likely is unable to produce testosterone at all. My son was born with a chromosomal defect, in that he has too many x's and y's on the 23rd chromosome. I have been told that he won't go through puberty and will need to have hormone replacement therapy (which I am totally against) and would love any ideas for other things I can do. He's only 6 now, but the time is moving quickly and I would welcome any ideas or paths to research before we actually get to the point that the doctors will push the HRT. Sorry to thread crash, it just got me thinking that maybe there were some natural paths I could explore!

Rosemary is a good oil for him to try also Balance, Clary Sage, Geranium and Sandalwood. These should be put on the reflex points of his feet. So, in addition to the oils recommended, get out in the sunshine with no sunscreen for at least 20 minutes a day, exposing a good percentage of skin to direct sun (but not to the point of sunburn of course). I recommend that you research vitamin D at www.vitamindcouncil.org. Have a blood test to measure the 25 oh/d levels as described on the Vitamin D council website. 40 is the most recently suggested target, because that is the level needed for breastfeeding women to produce milk containing Vitamin D (all other mammals produce vitamin D in their milk; humans in this age do not seem to because we are so deficient). If you cannot get enough sunshine and need to supplement, the brand that I recommend is Purity, because it is the only one I have found that contains co-factors needed to process the vitamin D.
