Re: [Everything doTERRA] Gluten/ Wheat Free

we are wheat/gluten, dairy free is our house so i can help a little. the milk is easy just switch to almond or rice or hemp or hazelnut... LOL there are a lot of options, i would stay away from soy because the jury is still out on whether the phytoestrogens cause issues or not. my daughter is addicted to cheese so we sometimes use a little mozerella in our foods as like a spice or seasoning, not heavy. the mozerella for some reason doesn't bother us. also fermented dairy doesn't bother us much either.. if your family is ice cream eaters i highly recommend getting a ice cream maker!!! it rocks, OH coconut milk. we use a LOT of that. coconut milk yogurt, ice cream, and coffee creamer. So Delicous i think is the brand we use.

most of my shopping i do at trader joe's or online at azurestandard.com and amazon.com  (yes they have gluten free foods, and you can get your favs on a subscription and its cheap!)

gluten free isn't as hard as it used to be. annie's organics makes a gluten free mac n cheese, not sure if its dairy free though. I started with one thing then slowly worked out the other. she is addicted to cheese and so was i, so i did gluten free first then slowly worked out the dairy. i make my own bread now with a gluten free all purpose flour. i make a lot of my own things. i will make my own breakfast bars out of nuts dried fruits and oats and honey. i make my own fruit leather that i can make sure is gluten and sugar free, OH yeah my daughter is allergic to SUGAR!!! that has been the hardest to remove completely in my opinion.

what are some of your daughters favorite snacks and foods i can help you find gluten free and dairy free options? I know egg substitutes too, i keep them on hand in case i run out of egg but we can still eat those, but we do have friends that are egg free so i cook for them sometimes.

its very daunting when you first try but its soooo worth it, your daughter will be a completely different person and you will know when she's had something she's not supposed to!!!! chex makes a yummy cinnamon gluten free cereal, with some vanilla almond milk in the morning, yum!

email me off list...

I had my daughter allergy tested due to some skin issues and found out
that she is allergic to wheat, egg whites, and cows milk. For me this
is going to be a lifestyle change because almost everything in our
house is wheat and I know that this isn't about oils, but I was
wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for a six year old
child....meals, snacks, or anything else that I might need to know
about a wheat/gluten free diet.
Thanks in advance.
