| I just love these oils more and more each day! And I am particularly thankful for the amazing people here who share their thoughts and ideas! On Friday, I posted about my teenage son with the ingrown toenail. I was sure we would have to take him to the doctor. It was hot to the touch, double the size it should be and more purple than red. I still don't know why he dealt with the pain for so long before letting me know about it. So, I immediately started with Melaluca and Balance (I use balance for everything!) Saturday night, I clipped a v in the nail. I also used some tweezers, to see if I could pull the toenail part out a bit and was able to. It was quite painful for him, but he was a trooper. I poured peroxide in and around it and then followed it up with the oils. By yesterday, the purple/redness was gone and by this morning, it looks almost like the other toe. He says there is no more pain at all. I thought for sure that I would be spending my morning looking for a doctor, but thankfully, everything worked so well. Also, yesterday morning, my 9 yo daughter woke up with pink eye. I immediately applied lavendar on her cheek bone and had her follow it up every hour. The pink eye is completely gone and so far, no one else has come down with it! Over Thanksgiving, we all came down very sick. It was a really tough 2 weeks, but we were able to treat everything with oils. I am pretty sure it was the flu or a bad virus, and without the oils, we would have all ended up at the doctor's. Going to the doctor is always an option for us, but it's the last option. We try natural sources first! I was referring to our database often and came here for advice as well. I followed everything and we are all well again! During that time, I started to develop 2 cold sores-due to my weakened immune system. It was only the second time I've ever had them. Before they got too bad, I read what to do. I didn't have sandalwood or the other oil, but I noticed that both oils were found in Balance and Serenity-and I had those. It was a weekend, so I couldn't run over to DoTerra for the other oils. I used Balance and Serenity, every hour or so and within 2 days they were gone. They never got bad or even noticeable to anyone but me! What a blessing these oils are! I can't even say enough how thankful I am for them and this community! Thank you all!!!
