[Everything doTERRA] Re: More about Animals

Hi Diane,
Has your GSD always been a picky eater, or did this start recently?
What kind of food are you feeding? Has a vet seen the dog about this
problem?

You want to make sure that it is not a tooth problem or an obstruction
in the gut that is causing the dog to avoid eating. In Zoe's case, the
vet had told the owner that she would just have to live with coaxing
her dog to eat. They had tried everything. Including every top-
quality, grain-free food on the market.

If obstruction in the gut is not the problem and the dog's teeth are
fine, try giving a whiff of ginger about 15 minutes before feeding.
Other oils you can use are Coriander and Bergamot. Let the dog decide
which one is best. Offer DigestZen closer to the meal. Just a whiff...
Dogs have 5 times as many scent receptors as we do!

You can also put a drop of oil in FCO and apply to the pads of the
feet. Ginger is a hot oil so dilute as you would for a child.

Hope this helps!
