[Everything doTERRA] Re: Sweets Syndrone

I didn't know what this was so I looked it up - it's classified as a condition that, to me, looks and sounds a lot like shingles.

My elderly mom has had shingles for 2.5 years (they say after that long it becomes neuropathy) and was on lots of medications, including high-octane pain meds.  The pain meds helped some but they were also very debilitating - she was constantly tired & sleepy, verbal communication was muddled, even her speech was a bit slurred.  So my sister, another doTERRA WA - created a blend for mom to spray directly on the shingles site.  Since it was in spray form it didn't have to be rubbed into the skin which would be very painful.  Mom found the spray to be as good, if not better, at relieving the pain as her prescriptions.  My sister also recommended placing a warm damp washcloth over the site to help drive the oils into the skin. This may prove to bring relief with Sweet's Syndrome as well.

Here's the recipe:
  • 15 drops Lavender
  • 15 drops Melaleuca
  • 15 drops Frankincense
  • Top off with FCO (Fractionated Coconut Oil) or carrier oil of your choice
Always shake before spraying. Spray directly on the site, as often as needed (this isn't an every-4-6-hours prescription), then cover with a warm damp washcloth/towel to drive the oils in.

You can make this blend or tweak it to better match the oils that work for you.  Some possible tweaks are to add geranium because it's soothing & healing for the skin especially if there is itching / add (or even replace the Melaleuca with) arborvitae / add DDR Prime blend / whatever works for you. Because it's a very healing blend as well as an anti-aging blend you could put several drops of Immortelle in a spray bottle then top off with FCO, but I think I'd so a sensitivity test first with this one.
