Re: [Everything doTERRA] Questions about oils for children under the age of 6

Doterra is very selective in what they carry. No studies have really been carried out on children. Take the Essential Oil Safty book with a grain of salt and understand that most of the studies refereed to in the book where done on mice and rats not 6 yr olds. I own the book and it tell it in there. There are no drugs over the counter or otherwise that are "safe" for children 6 and under because it's not legal to experiment on them, same goes for pregnate woman- & who would volunteer there child to be experimented on? So I would not run back to Amnsidophinwjicjbhas been shown to reduce bone dessity in children when take 1 x month. Then we have the where are the mice/rats from as it makes a differance, where they experimented in a synthetic or isolated compound of the chemical constituent, or was it actually an essential oil in the test? If it was actully an oil, it really is, what was the source? It's almost never listed which brings the quality and purity into question. Was this real oil synthetic? Partly sythetic? Pesticides? Wait what if the bad reaction was to the pesticides? Likly.

Unfortunate many Aromatherpist run amock saying they are not for a brand. Regardless then are for themselves. If there are no major rules to be concerned about then people might not need them to help them safly use essential oils. We don't generally share our blends when we can market them. I do share mine as I realize my earning potential is greatest concentrating on my DoTERRA business. So am I jaded by that. I'm betting your not in my downline and that I don't make a dime off of telling you I believe in doTERRA's oils. I have other oils too. Oils I will not even touch the bottles of as a pregnate mom. But I have no such concerns of any of my doterra oils.

For instance. I sat there mouth agape when I saw a Thuja genus on the screen at doterra convention, then they went on to explane it has no thujone in it. That's almost unheard of but its classic doTERRA. They found a Thuja with no thujone and many brilliant properties. They carry the safe oils. Thujone is costic, quite costic.

I trust them I have analized there products and am honestly impressed. My oils do what many of my Aromatherpist colligues did not know an oil could do. The more I learn the more I study the more I discover scarred Aromatherpist making up rules maybe partly due to the purity & quality out there honestly it's so random, you can find incredably quality one time but then next time it likly won't touch the last batch, also the more I see that about anyone with a bit of common since can use doTERRA's oil. So with Aromatherpist scaring people- it's all about job security.

There are also groups fighting to be recognized as the authorities they claim to be and making up warning makes them more needed. So be wary what you read on the Internet and what the real intent of that person is. Everyone has an agenda, so it's best their's & your's agree.

In that note I think u would be an odd one to use peppermint undiluted more them once on your 6 yr old. She would probably freek tell its diluted enough that she does not feel like you tried to freeze her body part off because yes peppermint has mental in it which has a coing effect on the skin. Do be smart & dillute for your littles. Essential oils should never be used in a concentration that they hurt. I think if you use common sence you will be set with doTERRA. Outside of doterra...good luck because as an Aromatherpist its tricky- nigh impossible to get quality with any constancy. Also note yes many of the types of eucalyptus mentioned in the article can be very caustic and are used in what we would consider in doterra at a very very high dillutions only. High Keytons oils can be psychedelics and abortive a but doterra does not carry those either. So my thought to you is be wary of the agenda of who's info you read. There is good stuff in the Internet & there is bad info. That article may be very applicable to the quality the owners use.

There's my 50 cents worth,
Heather :)
