[Everything doTERRA] Re: Our Cat with His Silent-But-Deadly GAS

We rescued a cat 2 year ago.  When he cam to us, he had horrible, clear the room kinda gas and his poop could easily clear out the house lol.  I did A LOT of research and found out that it is due to the food they eat.  The best dry cat food is called Orijen. We give our boy the 6 fish flavor and then for wet food which we give him at night, we use Dick Van Patten's natural balance either in the pouch or the can depending on whats on sale.  The orijen is expensive but it has the highest amount of protein in it so you give much less.  Our boy gets 1/4 of a cup in the morning.  The largest bag, which I believe is 15 lbs is the most cost effective and it honestly lasts us forever.  The other flavors are cheaper.  Our cat also had bad dandruff and nappy fur. His coat now is SO shiny and soft and he has no dandruff.  We tried another flavor of the orijen but he needs the omegas so we went back to the 6 fish.  I know this has nothing to do with oils but it has made a huge difference in my cats life.  He has NO more gas, ever and I can leave his liter box for days and it has zero odor.  We went away for a week and a half over the summer.  My neighbor came over to check on our cat and when we came home, the liter box still had no odor.

Our kitten (six months old) has the WORST gas! We've switched foods three times (finally on grain-free) and added an L-Lysine supplement and a probiotic to his food, and they've made a positive difference (after a month or so), but he still drops BOMBS about once per day. Oddly enough, he seems to do this when he's very happy and relaxed. His belly seems bloated sometimes. I'm told that EO (peppermint) helps with digestion. I'm new to EO, so I'm interested in suggestions on this, specifically how much/how to apply/how often Thanks!
