I am praying there are some proven protocols for PTSD.
My 2 beloved little dogs were tortured and abused as puppies by the family in whose home they were bred and born.
The one whose back they broke and who they 'reprimanded' by squirting water in her face until she nearly drowned has 'flashbacks' similar to those soldiers have when they return from the horrors of war.
When she has a flashback she cannot hear or see me - she behaves as though she is being killed and as if she is terrified and fighting for her life. She is so overwhelmed with terror she goes into seizures.
Just giving her a bath is beyond imagination for her.
We've had her completely evaluated medically including by Neurologists. MRI was unremarkable so it goes back to PTSD
Surely there must be an oils protocol for humans with PTSD that has helped.
I'm praying someone will know.
This little dog is naturally THE SWEETEST, most joyful dog I've ever known. It's wrong for her life to be so devastated by the kind of abuse she endured before she came to me.
