This might sound counter-intuitive but they stop doing this really quick if you completely ignore them a time or two. My old alternative doctor gave me a child-raising book that was actually pretty good (we both practiced attachment parenting so nothing in the book was mean even though this might sound a bit mean!). It's actually harder on the parents than the child. Once the child realizes he doesn't get a reaction, the behavior stops. He might scream for an hour the first time so be prepared for that but if he gets NO reaction at all, it will stop. If Mom gives in even for a slight moment, this will not work so you need to be super committed to do it right the first time. Bad behavior should never be rewarded. Don't mention or talk about it after. Tell him BEFORE that he will not get attention next time he screams so he won't be overly confused. This can work well for many things, like when they're 4 or 5 and still want their bum wiped for example. They may sit on the toilet for 3 hours waiting and shouting at you but they will only do it once if they don't get a response (after you have explained that you will not be doing it for them anymore).
This is all provided there is no physical reason for it and he's not in pain. Children can scream after vaccinations for days or even years if the damage is permanent so be sure of the cause. Allergies can also cause this. 2 is the age where they begin to eat a lot of different foods so rule this out. Allergies can affect the brain in this manner.Make sure he gets lots of attention and outdoor play and keep him away from junk food and cell phones and other electronic stuff that is not good for children's developing brains.

Ok. I know this is the terrible two's, but my grandson has these fits where he will scream (loud), really loud. Any ideas on what to do? They do time out and use your quiet inside voice. That works sometimes. Are there any oils that may help him? Thank You!--
