I don't know if she opened the PB Assist + but I would. Yes it reduces the effectiveness but their intestinal tracks are much tinier so it does not have as far to travel and with the highest quality probiotic it repopulates their tiny little gut even with a whole lot of die off. I've done that with my youngest in apple sauce before she could swallow them and she was not a baby. But pre-doTerra we always gave our babies probiotics at my Naturopaths recommend. It was a different brand that was tiny enough for them to swallow yet I've noticed a greater difference quicker with cutting doTERRA's for the tiny. I believe its the numbers & quality plus I imagine some of the prebiotic is making it to the gut.
Marc mentioned Balance. Balance is supper helpful on diaper rashes and we always use it to speed fungal rashes healing. On the bottom of the feet or on the torso if the rash itself does not respond to it. :)
I used Lavender in olive oil on my children to stop & prevent rashes with each changing. Melaleuca was needed to add on one.
I've not tried it on a baby but on a toddler Geranium & Melaleuca together stopped her rashes after Lavender spray. If you diagram out the chemical constituents in Geranium it is more anti-fungal then Melaleuca even and is very gentile on the skin.
A thought. If none of this does the trick - there is a very stubborn diaper rash some babies get that appears to be like ring worm/athletes food in what it responds to. I developed a blend that clears that up. Though I think the others will work for you. Let us know how it goes.
