Re: [Everything doTERRA] Chicken pox

From Dr. Susan Lawton's book on page 176: "For a soothing bath when suffering from chickenpox, blend 4 drops eucalyptus, 3 drops Roman Chamomile, and 2 drops lavender with 1/2 cup Epsom salts. Dissolve in a warm bath and soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The same oil blend, minus the salts and with the addition of 15 drops fractionated coconut oil, works well as a spritz to relieve itching and pain."
I have not tried this, but I do not doubt that Dr. Lawton knows her "stuff" about essential oils.

Chicken pox is contagious from about 2 days prior to rash starting to about 7 days after or when rash is gone.

We used melaleuca, lavender, & peppermint on some of mine with chicken pox and I feel it helped.
Peppermint helps with itch, fever, pain... Dilute.  Used Coriander with a viral rash once. Tested on her back and 20 min latter she had a hand print of no rash there. It was not chicken pox but was a viral itchy pustule rash also.

Mellisa & Black Pepper are our most powerful against viruses. I believe Id try up the spine with diluted OnGuard & Mellisa.  Personally I'm not worried about them getting it too light once they have already started breaking out.

That's where I'd head. Use your own judgment. Note this is not medical advise only a small brain dump of things Id look at trying in your situation.
