Thanks, Pat. Greatly appreciated.

We have found the OnGuard beadlets to be very effective for this and easy to swallow. He would need about 4-5 per days, not all at once, but throughout the day.

My seven year old son with a diagnosed immune disorder has developed several (6-7) intra-abdominal abscesses (growing inside his abdomen, in his pelvic area), which are likely MRSA positive given that he often develops surface MRSA abscesses.

He has been in the hospital for 11 days (and counting) on an aggressive treatment of IV antibiotics and the abscesses are slowly decreasing in size. I am not allowed to use essential oils in the hospital due to complaints from a nurse given that the hospital is a scent-free environment. (I've still been sneaking a drop of frankincense on his feet twice a day).

The typical course of treatment would be surgery, but the surgeon does not want to operate because of the number of abscesses - it would involve an operation through his stomach, which would be a complicated procedure and then my son would need to fight off potential infection and also recover from the surgery.

They may discharge my son soon because he is clinically doing well (no more pain, appetite is good, otherwise healthy) with the abscesses only partially resolved. The doctors do not have any oral antibiotics that they can use on a 7 year old (the only oral option is one that is contra-indicated due to a drug intolerance).

My son doesn't like taking essential oils orally (he often even fights me when I put essential oils on his feet), but given the seriousness of his infection, we may force him to.

I'd like some thoughts on what would be most effective.  I've read a lot about this, of course, and know that OnGuard and oregano is highly recommended for MRSA.

This is from Everything Essentials:

Add 4 drops each On Guard and Oregano in a capsule and take 2 - 3 times a day for 2 weeks.

Truthfully, I think it will be very difficult for me to convince my son to take these.

I have some GX Assist, which may be easier since they are small and very contained (I find with the homemade capsules, you can taste what's inside of them due to spillage).

Do you think a capsule of GX Assist twice a day could be effective?

And then OnGuard on the bottoms of this feet and belly (diluted on his belly) 4 times a day?

Plus Frankincense, DDR Prime (cellular healing) and Balance (for emotional balance) on the bottoms of his feet 2 times a day?

Please offer any other thoughts or suggestions keeping in mind that this is a 7 year old, who doesn't like taking capsules (has never taken a capsule before).

Thanks,
Janice
