The fact that you show concern on all of the levels shows that you are trying to do the best you can to take care of yourself, your husband and new baby. And those things are your main priority and for other who want to judge you shows their own insecurities. You are doing a great job and best of luck. My only advise is that maybe if you looked at the ingredient list for all of the slim and sassy products and compare them to other products you are taking for your thyroid for example and asked both your doctor and nutritionist to evaluate them all together and see if there would be an interaction and what effect it could have on you nursing. Maybe this will help you. Again, you are doing a great job and your daughter will understand when older if you want to tell her what you went through. Hang in there!

I have a question regarding the safety of using Slim & Sassy products along with herbal thyroid supports. I am 31 years old, have had problems with my weight my entire life--even with good nutrition and an active life.I am nursing my 10 month old daughter, but recently found out I am hypothyroid. Because I have had problems with my weight my entire life and because my health, quality of life, and severe low-back problems are exacerbated by my inability to lose weight, I am looking for ways I can lose weight safely--all while also trying to fix my thyroid and while nursing.I have had my thyroid tested twice in my life before now, at 10 years old and again at 21 years old, but my results always came back "normal." However, the past year has been extremely difficult--with pregnancy, preeclampsia problems, emergency cesarean--and my health has declined severely since the birth of my daughter, my thyroid problems have manifested themselves so much more than ever before. In the past 4 months, I have been blessed to have finally found an MD that is willing to work with the nutritionist I've also found. The lovely nutritionist is who, so far, has been helping me address my thyroid problems through natural means (herbs, iodine, mineral supplements). I also am doing the essential oil protocols as reference in M.E. book. So, my question is:Because things really are so hard and not good for me right now, my husband and I have thought very hard about the possibility of weaning our daughter if I need to in order to lose weight (please, I don't need comments back about nursing, this was/still is not an easy decision for me, but it is the best for me because I cannot keep functioning like this and still care for my daughter and husband).Does anyone know to whom or where I can turn for information about whether or not it would be safe to do the Slim & Sassy protocol while working on my thyroid at the same time?Thank you,- Ashley
