Thank you for the suggestions. The official name for the birth defect is holoprosencephaly. She doesn't know all of the details yet. The doctors have to do more testing, but it sounds like from what she described that it is moderate.
They don't have a lot of money and she is careful about what she takes internally. Since I have frankincense on hand, that'll probably be what I give her. I will ask her if she is open to using DDR. Thanks.
