Over the last couple of weeks, after my physical therapy for the procedure was complete, I still had not much relief of pain, nor range of motion. I used a few oils right after having the procedure done, and then didn't use them for about 5 weeks--over the weekend, I started using Lemongrass, Marjoram, and Frankincense again around my jaw joint area, and after using them for a couple of days, I felt quite a bit of pain relief, plus I was able to open my mouth a little wider than I had been able to before...
So, my question is...if I keep using oils, do you think that it will fully repair itself, and I don't need the corrective surgery? If so, am I using the correct oils (I chose Lemongrass and Marjoram for their use for ligament/joint issues, and Franki because that what other protocols have stated to use.). Are there other oils I should try instead of or addition to these oils I'm already using? OR...do I still get the surgery to repair the damage done to my join, and use the oils in help aiding the healing process?
I'm kind of at a loss, because I don't want to get the surgery if it's not necessary and can be healed with just using oils. But I don't want to NOT get it, if I am truly needing it, and the oils will help to aid the recovery process. My biggest issue is that I have a hard time opening my mouth without severe pain, and I can't eat anything harder/chewier than steamed veggies! Thanks for any advice/insight you might have. :)
