[Everything doTERRA] Solace for Acne?

I have been attempting to combat my acne. After I had my baby a year ago I decided not to return to birth control pills. I have tried melaleuca with lavender and am currently using clear skin wash and rub. Neither options helped. I was told that I may have a hormonal issue and to try solace. Will this work? Where should I apply it and how often? I have ordered Purify and it is on its way. Should I try one or the other first?
