We had a skunk in our house. It smelled bad! But it never sprayed. It was hiding in a crawl space and kept letting off odor but never actually sprayed. We diffused purify and then peppermint back and forth, It worked great.

I have heard that purify works well for this. Never have tried it myself but wouldn't hurt to see how it does.
