I was watching a video of Teresa Harding on my doterra builder. In this video she explains why the oils are "better" than just organic (if you would use the organic standard). This is not litteraly what she said but close:
There are different levels of EO:
-Lowest: for perfumes, constituents are 100% synthetic
-Next level is allowed in food, ONLY (...) needs to be GRAS (generaly regarded as safe)
-Then the therapeutic grades: they have industy standard, and only test is the gasschromatography.
This test allowes to label as 100% pure. Although this is a good test, it misses out on 3 things:
-the test doesn't check if there is something extra in the oils like pesticides, herbicides, additives, weeds and so on.
-the test doesn't check if al the constituents are 100% pure and natural, they can be synthetic.
-the test doesn't check if the right amount of constituents are in the EO.
This is where doTERRA's CPTG is for. They actually do the test that check this. And they are the only ones.
I always use this to explain people
-why doTERRA oils are the best organic you can find
-why doTERRA oils can be used internal
-why doTERRA oils work so well
-why doTERRA oils are maybe more expansive when you first look at it, but not when you know all this and how little you need.
