Hi Russell!
I just received an email this morning from a friend and then I opened
up my current forum email alerts and see a similar question!
Here is an extract from my friend.
Is there an oil that can help with a dog's skin irritation?
We have spent thousands of dollars over the last 2 plus years on our
dog. Even took her to a skin specialist vet who has studied the
problem in dogs and has put out a special food. He said that it works
only in 70% of dogs.. our Labrador is NOT in the 70%. She is on
cortisone tablets.. although its only ¼ every second day... when she
is really bad we give her ½...there are still side effects... like
liver damage etc. We were told we could take her to Melbourne to have
her tested for allergies but not all allergies show up. We are
thinking on that one.. it would be traumatic to put her through all
that and not get any results... plus we need to save up to have the
allergy testing ... in the meantime she has the problem.
I was wondering if you have tried Pat Leavitt's suggestion and if so,
what are your findings? The oils that Pat L suggests are one that I
use for myself for hayfever allergies and I know they work for me and
others.
It would seem that dog food could be the common denominator here!
Thanks.
