Re: [Everything doTERRA] Tansy vs Blue Tansy?

Hi Stacey,

your research is correct re the difference.
I checked our catalogue, the 4th Edition of the Modern essentials the
Balance bottle and the Deep Blue Blend bottles & roll on packaging.

Unfortunately the correct latin name of blue Tansy is not written on any
of these sources. This is partly ther cause of the situation you
described.
If the latin name was written - it should be(according to my research)-

Tanecetum annum -
main components limonene & chamazuulene(this gives the blue colour).

It is strong anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, sedative, reduces blood
pressure, (anti-leukemic), strengtehens veins.
THERE ARE NO KNOWN CONTRA-INDICATIONS or SIDE AFFECTS - for normal dosage;
it has an endocrine effect in certwain women (according to Pieree Fanchome
& Dr Daniel Penoel).

The Tansy/ies that were referred to in your class would be

Tanacetum blasamita - main components - carvone ALPHA-THUJONE, perile
aldehyde, 1-8-cineole.
This one can be used in SMALL doses for infedction, skin ailments etc BUT
TO BE AVOICDED BY PREGNANT WOMEN & CHILDREN due to KETONE TOXICITY.

Tanecetum vulgare (common tansy - all are meMbers of the daisy family)
is the one to be AVOIDED. is used for intestinal worms etc.
HOWEVER - diue to main component -

I recently taught a class and a woman referenced a book 'The complete book
