I kid you not, this totally works. If it's a gag reflex issue, you have to try this. Again, I'm not making this up.

Before you take your pills, squeeze your left thumb with your left hand. DO NOT LET GO until you've swallowed your pills.

Don't ask me how I stumbled across this cuz  I don't remember. I think it might have been one of those "factoid" things that comes up every now and then on twitter. I laughed, but then I thought, "Yah, I hate taking pills. Wonder if this will help." And sure enough ...

Anyway, maybe that'll help.
