I clean all my windows and mirrors, including the ones in the car with a mixture of 1Tbsp vinegar and 2 drops lemon oil, in a 14 oz spray bottle of water. NO smears, NO streaks, NO residue and nice to breathe.

The build up on the inside on the glass(if you don't smoke) is from the plastersizing of the chemicals from the interior dashboard. First I wipe all the inside windows with a soft towel to remove the film.Then I use a window cleaner with some rubbing alcohol added. The rubbing alcohol is the key.
