[Everything doTERRA] Re: Nursing new baby, can she use Slim & Sassy products?

Let me say first I am an AVID doterra oils user.  Love them, love the vitamins.  My milk supply was going down recently.  This is my 5th baby so I have my list of things I try.  My normal course (mothers milk tea, blessed thistle, increase rest and nourishment, stop eating sugar) was not helping so I decided to stop the xomega (boo hoo) and my milk supply came back strong within 3 days.  I know this is certainly not the case for everyone.  And my body is a bit more depleted than a few babies ago.  But my experience is that any use of peppermint in my metabolism equals a decreases in my milk supply.  I have still used digestzen and rarely a bit of peppermint topically -- for me it does not seem to affect me as much as when I take it through my digestive system.

I will just go back to taking them once I am not nursing in a year or so.  In the meantime I take an excellent cod liver supplement (Green Pastures) and take oils internally in capsule I make up myself.

The caution I've always seen for Slim and Sassy is that it is a detoxifying blend, and it could cause detoxification into the milk if a mother hasn't been using it prior to having her baby (i.e. if she has a buildup of toxins that weren't already addressed).  Thoughts?

Hello.

I'm not up on the pregnancy, nursing scenarios so help needed.  I have a client whose daughter has a 2 month old baby that she is nursing.  They are asking if she can use the Slim & Sassy products while she is nursing.  Any feedback appreciated.

Thank you,
Janyce
