I think the problem is that in the past, some MLM companies would encourage their people to stockpile their product in order to make rank. People were left with a garage full of product that neither they nor anyone else wanted to use. From what I have seen here, when people use that technique to reach a certain bonus level, the product is indeed being put into use -- whether it's resold or used personally. I don't see a conflict. I also think that it is a technique that is used in a pinch. No one is going to get rich by buying rank -- if you don't have the organization to support it, you'd never make enough money to justify the cost.
