The oils are all natural meaning they deal with normal environmental changes like amount of rain or wind or sunshine the plants/fruits receive. These variances impact the potency of the various constituents that make up each doterra oil and oil blend year to year. When you smell the slight difference it is a good thing because you know that pathogens (germs, bacteria, viruses, etc.) will not be able to outsmart the oil. We have all heard about how superbugs are able to adapt to prescribed antibiotics because the recipe to make each table is always the same. The superbugs want to survive so they adapt once they know the enemy.
Breathe is a marvelous product. It is aptly named.
