I recently used Breathe (diffused) when my 4-month-old had the flu, and she temporarily had the same reaction. I figured it was just because it acts as an expectorant. It helps bring up mucus from the lungs, bronchi, and trachea, which makes them sound more congested. However, this is also preventing it from turning into something worse, such as pneumonia. After having a terrible-sounding cough and congestion for a few days, my baby got over it.

Hello,--
last night I rubbed some breathe on my son's foot (2.5 yr.) and lemon,
lavendar & peppermint on his other foot. All for allergies. However,
he was up in the middle of the night more than usual & seemed very un-
comfortable (congested) he does have some congestion due to his
horrible allergies, but I remember a month or so ago I rubbed breathe
on his feet and he had the same issue? Is it too much for him? Anyone
else had this problem before? I would love to keep using it to help
him "breathe" but it seems to be doing the opposite? I also give him
Benadrly and Zyrtec, but I remember someone saying the oils will not
interfere with other medications?
Thank you
