Greetings,
This is just my (non-legal) opinion, but if you have the means to
establish an LLC or any other type of entity to protect yourself from
liability, I would definitely go for it. People these days are
looking for any reason to sue and make a quick buck, so it's a great
way to limit your exposure. I'm certainly not implying that everyone
is this way, but it only takes one bad apple to spoil all of your hard
work.
The other thing you should check on (if you haven't already) is your
state's laws regarding massage/bodywork therapy and various
modalities. Some states have very strict laws as far as what you are
allowed to do when coming into direct contact (touch) with someone
else and charging for your services. My state (SC) is rather strict
on this kind of stuff, and it seems the only exceptions are for energy-
type work such as Reiki. My understanding (from my state's point of
view) is that it is fine to do the AromaTouch on friends and family as
long as you are not charging for the *service.* Some have mentioned
not charging for the service, but simply asking to be reimbursed for
the oil. Your state could be totally different. I'm just bringing
this up so you don't run into potential problems down the road. It's
always disappointing to put a lot of effort into something only to
find out you can't do it, or it won't work.
As for me, I've performed the AromaTouch technique in both private
homes as well as clinical settings. While I love giving massage, the
ATT is my favorite modality. Clients love it and I benefit from it as
well. From my experience, the oils "work their magic" on people and
help them relax so quickly, much better than Swedish massage alone.
One client I had was completely out before I was done with the third
oil, and she was an emotional wreck. The ATT helped her relax so much
and put her in such a deep state that I couldn't even wake her up
without yelling, so I just left her on the table until she was ready
on her own.
The ATT is such a precious gift and service to offer to others. It's
life changing, without a doubt. I wish you all the best in your
endeavors, and please feel free to contact me if I can help in any
way.

Very good advice! I myself have run into the "touch" problem as well. I make sure that even friends and family sign a disclaimer because I am not a massage therapist. What I am about to do is give a demonstration to a local spa. I will ask a massage Therapist to give the aromatouch to another massage therapist while I instruct. This can be done without touching anyone. I have done it one on one to teach a friend how to do it on her ill mother. So this will be a new experience actually teaching a class with several observers. But I am starting back to school in January to become a Certified Natural Health Professional, and with that title, I will be allowed to "touch" as it is 5 classes before you can be certified with a test and certification in each class. There are classes provided all over the states, so go to the web site and check it out. This is a great way to be able to take out aromatouch to the world. Go to CNHP.org

Hello all,
I would like to know how everyone is operating AromaTouch Technique.
I am thinking to go to Nursing Homes, Spa, and Clinics that I have
relationships with and introduce AromaTouch Technique.
However, there is always liability issues come with providing service
in public and I wanted to know if I should form LLC.
I asked my accountant and she told me to form LLC but I am concerned
about the cost of insurance.
Since I am still very new to this business, I would really appreciate
if I could get advices from people who have been providing AromaTouch
Technique to others for a while.
Thank you very much for your help in advance,
hope you all have a wonderful day!

This tastes like liquid cheesecake!
In a blender bottle, add 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (not the kind
in a can) and one heaping scoop of vanilla Trim Shake. Shake well.
Add 1/3 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt and one drop of lemon oil! Shake
again and enjoy!
This equals 27 - 30 grams of protein depending on what brand yogurt
you use. I use Kirkland Signature Costco brand.
- Ramona Brown <ramsfam13@yahoo.com> Nov 02 01:45PM -0700
You have no idea how much I needed this idea! Thank you for sharing! I am currently using stevia only as any sweetener as I'm trying to rid my body of candida. I'm also avoiding all fruits, so I am missing my smoothies! This sounds yummy and exactly what I need!

Now 2nd Nov, and I still can't order them through my back office -
through "place order" and "loyalty reward order". Nothing.
Wonder if being in the UK puts us on a separate system, and they still
haven't updated ours? Sounds like US can order them now..
- Divine Bodywork and Wellness <divinebw@gmail.com> Nov 02 07:25AM -0700
I am also disappointed that these holiday products cannot be part of
our LRP orders. I wanted to get the Butter & Polish kit for my wife
but I'm not paying a separate shipping charge on top of what I've
already paid for my LRP order this month. Many of us are on a budget
and the $10 or so that shipping would cost makes it more expensive and
not worth it, especially if you only want or need one item. I hope
that they will reconsider this going forward. It would be even better
if a few of these items were offered on a permanent basis. They would
be great for spa treatments and could grow business exponentially. I
remember the items selling out so fast last year that I never had a
chance to order anything.
Just my $.02. :)

It makes sense they aren't an LRP because it is just a Holiday item.
This is my first holiday season with doTerra. I'm excited to try the
Holiday Joy. Is this a blend they've had before past holidays? Is it
wonderful?
And I normally just order LRP, but understand the logic for this.
- Rachel Wachs <rachelloveswade@gmail.com> Nov 02 09:24AM -0400
It is wonderful! I bought 2 bottles last season because it was so perfect
smelling for the season. I always have people asking me about it when we
have it diffusing, and I make a lotion with it that is heavenly. This year,
doTERRA helped with that and has an unscented lotion that I can give with
the essential oil to people for gifts! I'm excited. :)

I'm disappointed too that you cant purchase these in LR I just placed
and order under quick links "place order" it was over 500.00 and it
looks like you don't even get the free breathe for nov. when you order
from there. I mean if your ordering for gifts from your LR it has the
box that you uncheck if it's not for your personal use so whats the
deal?

The reason is because these are seasonal and they cannot put them on the LRP order page because the full PV is not given. Does that make sense? It did to me when they explained it to me. Just call them and ask. They are very helpful!

Karen Asplundh & Cynthia, 1st of all Cynthia, thank you! This is so new to
me, I really appreciate the specifics. Couple of questions:
*Karen, in your post a couple of months ago, you suggested applying 2/day 1
Tb FCO w/1 d lemongrass, 2 d wh fir & 1 d frank, + 2 of the 7 EOs suggested
for pain--also mixed w/FCO. Do you throw the EOs for pain in w/the 1st set
of EOs or massage those in after the 1st set of EOs?
*from what I described, do you think it's already TORN or still in the
process of tearing?
*FYI in case others might be searching--it's "tiggerpoz.com" not
"triggerpoz.com"
*As far as restricting his activity, I take it he shouldn't do any stairs?
I just read a slug of stuff on the tiggerpoz but I don't see mention of
stairs anywhere. I get it that for right now he can't go for a walk, run or
rough house, etc but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around some of
the other stuff w/o rendering this all ineffective. I've put my daughter in
charge of visiting your website, Cynthia, + tiggerpoz & figuring out the FIR
stuff. That tiggerpoz is way encouraging then ADDING THE OILS ON TOP, makes
it very exciting!

Hi Valerie,
I am sorry to hear about your dog's injury. You can find the Far
Infrared information on my website:
www.oasisenergytherapy.com/BackonTrack.aspx
From that page, you can learn more about this type of therapy, and
also click onto the page of dog products. Probably the best product
for your Husky would be a blanket or a bed. Because he has a heavy
coat of his own, the jacket (which is what I would normally recommend
for this type of injury) would perhaps make him too hot all over.
Animals will choose to lie on the Far Infrared blanket or bed, with
the sore side down. Because FIR therapy increases circulation, it
helps the oils work better.
In addition to the Frankincense, you might want to dilute Lemongrass
in FCO and use that on the area. Lemongrass is a hot oil, so don't use
it without diluting it or he will get a hot spot.
Cheers,
Cynthia

Hi Valerie, I know this stuff can be so confusing and we just want to
do the right things for our dogs. I do all the oils at once twice a
day. I just open all the oils I plan to use, then put the carrier oil
in my hand then add each of the oils.
Only a vet would be able to tell you the degree of tear your dog has
and even they have a hard time sometimes. As well as tiggerpoz, I
also got great info from a conservative management yahoo group. Stairs
are a definate no no for a dogin recovery with a ligament tear. A lot
of people block them off or if there are just a few steps, get a ramp
or help the dog up and down by supporting the dogs rear end. If you
don't commit to restricting the dogs activity during the period of
recovery, and it will be a long recovery, you are wasting your time
and not being fair to the dog, even with the oils. We are almost four
months in and I am seeing much improvement now. I think the oils
really helped her a lot. I am now doing very short 5 minute walks but
she is still in a pen when I am not home because she would run to the
door if someone knocked or run outside to bark at the neighbors dog. I
know it is hard to keep restricting them for such a long period of
time but I think it is worth it in the long run. Dogs adapt easier
than we do. It is very tempting to give them freedom once you see
improvement but don't be tempted too soon! As you have experienced,
they just start limping again. This means you are letting him do too
much too soon. The more you let this happen, the less likely you will
have a successful recovery using conservative management. It's not for
everyone. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask me
here or email me directly at kasplindh@gmail.com. Good luck! Karen

In my experience, customer service is very poor. Customer service
would include notifying the IPCs (customers) about upcoming product
news, products of the month and other offers. It would also include
the administration of our www.mydoterra.com personal websites, which
is beyond poor. It's now nearly the end of 2nd November, and I am
still unable to order the holiday gifts through my back office.
Oh, and I've also had emails (sent to service@doterra.com) ignored.
Whilst they may be great 'on the phone' the general service is
seriously lacking in a number of ways.

I am rather upset that we can't order the holiday products on the LRP
because I had planned on being able to share the oils as gifts for
Christmas with friends and family this way. Now because I have to order
LRP normal stuff I can't afford to do both, this is VERY upsetting to me
after all the funds I just spend in SL for convention I don't have the
money to place 2 or 3 orders this month. Maybe if enough people send an
email to services they might change it? What do you think Pat?
Don't mean to be a complainer but I feel very upset about this.

I agree - I think they have been awesome but I still would LOVE to work
there.

I think GIVING is a personal thing, SELLING is a business thing. I think I
would find it VERY hard to believe that people do not give or share items
from their LRP...
Please don't get me wrong, I love doTERRA, the products, people and heck
everything I just think that a lot of people feel as I do because I get
over 100 emails from this site daily and there has been a lot of discussion
on this subject and instead of us spinning wheels here if doTERRA as a
company knew how we were feeling maybe they would explain why or change
it???

Mel (or anyone, really), if you feel like you need to contact doterra about
how you are feeling about this, there is no harm in that. Voicing your
concern is good; and they are quite wonderful in customer service and take
things like this to heart and into consideration. at least, that has been
my experience.

Why should these items be on LRP, that's for PERSONAL orders only. Gifts
would be for giving to others which ideally falls under your business not
personal, since you are introducing others to the oils by giving gifts.

Then please go get a job there!!! :) Everyone else, please email
doTERRA with a friendly request to update their website by the first
of the month and/or ask them to send an email ahead of time to the
existing IPCs of the upcoming specials. Right now people with LR
orders set to go out on the 3rd still don't have the info they want.
It's getting very frustrating.
