can only do that if you dump the lotus out each time you use it. Look
down the hole and you will see a line that goes down the back of that
hole. A little ridge. If you go even with that or above it, it will
not diffuse as good. Always keep it about a ball point pen size UNDER
the place where the line ends for it to diffuse well. If you don't
overfill it, you will be fine. Nobody told me that when i first got
mine and I thought the same thing. I called Doterra and someone told
me not to filll it to the top of the line, but always a little below
it!!
