one thing to consider too, is that some oils that calm us can actually wind them up. I just learned this little tidbit as I kept trying to put Serenity on my autistic/adhd son and he would be up all night with nightmares. I'm still searching for what will work. He doesn't like most of the smells and freaks out if I get close with oils, so it has been a real adventure!

I was having some severe issues with my son also. It was several months back and we were at our wits end. I had tried several oils, including vetiver, with no consistent results. Then one day, I got on here and someone had written in and asked the same thing and basically said HELP--its really bad and I don't have time to try all the different blends so what have people found to be most effective most of the time. They said balance and frankincense on the back of the neck. Just a couple of drops. We did that three times a day and then dropped to two times a day. The difference was a Godsend!!! Pretty immediately. Within about six minutes! He had to be on that for 2-3 months and then we could back off and now use it just sporadically. It changed things drastically for us. Hope this helps!
