[Everything doTERRA] Re: Peppermint Oil and 8 year old child

I would dilute any oils that are used topically on a small child...
with the possible exception of Lavender. Remember that the oils are
not diluted in potency when you do so--you just prevent potential skin
sensitivity. Most people experience Peppermint as a cooling sensation,
but there are a few--of all ages--who find Peppermint to be
uncomfortably "hot"! My 18 yo son is one of these, even though he has
darker skin and you wouldn't think he would be sensitive. You just
never know! The very young and the very old are more likely to be
sensitive.
