I totally agree - seems like you can't get away from the fact that the oils can help get us well but we also have to change our eating habits or
we may just be going in circles.

Every side-effect I've ever had (or seen) with the oils has been due to de-toxing. They are so powerful that if a person is toxic, they bring it out. Definitely, some people are more sensitive and they react more adversely than others do, but still, the oils are not doing them any harm. I recently put Citrus Bliss on a lady's ears and she called me a day and a half later to say that she was worried because they were very inflamed and swollen. I had her come to my house and she was right. Not only were they VERY LARGE AND RED, but when I put my hands next to them for a few minutes they oozed out puss onto the palms of my hands. I'd also put oil along her spine and wherever the oil was she'd broken out in a rash. I explained that the oil had not caused the problem, but that it had just opened her up so the infection, etc. that was obviously already inside of her could come out. I suggested that she go on the yeast-free diet immediately and I gave her a bottle of lemon and told her to add it to her water. I also suggested a few other things she could try. She ended up going to the doctor though and he said she was full of infection (duh) and put her on massive meds including a very strong antibiotic.
My point is that if you're full of toxins and infection and you react negatively to doTERRA oils, it's not the oils that's the problem. I'd say she needs to clean up her diet and do the candida cleanse (GX Assist and PG Assist), and be patient, and keep using and diffusing the oils.

Sometimes I have a reaction to diffusing Citrus Bliss :( I get a scratchy throat and pretty soon I can hardly talk. I asked Emily Wright about it and she said the citrus oils have a lot of aldehydes which can have that effect on some people. I'm not sure what you can do to avoid that issue, but if someone knows, I would love to have that answer. I LOVE the smell of Citrus Bliss and would love to be able to diffuse itThanksLynda Green

I may be good for her to only diffuse one oil at a time. Some people may
have an unknown allergy or other issue with a certain smell - or it may be
the combination that is causing the problem. I know my friend in Japan
didn't like the wild orange as it was too strong for her, but I personally
love it and use it all the time. We have to remember that the oils are
amazing - but everyone can, and will, sometimes have different reactions to
them.

I have a PC who just purchased one of our diffusers and has been
having some reactions when diffusing Wild Orange and Frank. She said
she gets really itchy and it's a bit irritating to her skin. I have
never heard of such a thing and am thinking it maybe that she is
cleansing. Any ideas?
