 I assume your asking Lisa.  I don't mean to steal her question or answer, but personally I would not be afraid to take a capsule every couple hours if I were dealing with a chronic cough.

I had a severe cough from getting the crud but had heard that you need to take oregano, thyme and ongaurd in capsule form. I did this religiously and went from a barking cough to my normal voice in 3 days.
